You can help us Raise the Woof ~ once again!

pdf image

For the past four years, MLAR has been raising funds to Raise the Woof! The first phase of our Raise the Woof campaign successfully funded the construction of a modern kennel with both indoor and outdoor runs for dogs and a cat facility complete with screened in porch.

Raise the Woof II shed light on the need for onsite acute medical care for the animals. Approximately 80% of the animals that come to the rescue have not been spayed or neutered, most without a history of vaccinations and many in need of extensive dental care. Thanks to the generosity of many MLAR supporters and volunteers the second phase of our campaign helped to build and equip “The Mr. Blue Clinic” which now houses an exam room and surgical suite, x-ray room, isolation area and dental care facility.

Raise the Woof III

It is now time to Raise the Woof again and to Sustain the Woof! Main Line Animal Rescue is once again reaching out to old and new friends to help cover the cost of the renovations made to the 1791 Barn ~ the focal point of the peaceful grounds of Main Line Animal Rescue. With the recent completion of its renovations, the Barn will now also serve as the hub of activity for our unique animal training and acclimation programming, as well as a comfortable gathering place for a variety of programs and events.

“Home School” Room– A simulated home environment featuring the sights, sounds and obstacles that are unfamiliar to and frightening for puppy mill dogs. This room will house typical kitchen and home equipment (microwaves, television, and doorbells) as well as furniture and stairs to acclimate the pups and adult dogs to ensure their ease of transition into a new home. Puppy mill dogs live in cramped cages void of any human or artificial stimulation. Most have never experienced climbing or descending stairs or curling up with humans on the sofa. Our goal is to teach and reward for good habits!

Education and Training Room— An ample and climate controlled space for all of the education and training programs offered at the rescue ~ “Shy Dog Class” ~ ‘H.O.P.E.” (Helping Our Pets Excel) ~ Volunteer Orientation ~ Advocacy Gatherings.

MLAR Novelty Store— Our first ever store featuring clothes and other novelties emblazoned with the MLAR logo, as well as many unique boutique offerings. Stay tuned for a Grand Opening Announcement.

Your Gift can also help us Give Life . . .

. . .today and in the future. Many of our animals come to us severely ill or injured. Despite the generosity of local veterinary practices that significantly discount the cost of their services, the annual cost of emergency, specialized and orthopedic care provided offsite to our sick and injured animals is approximately $500,000 annually. The Raise the Woof III campaign also supports current veterinary care, as well as future care through our Endowment Fund.
