“Oprah” was the last puppy in a litter of seven “Puggles.” “Designer breeds” are popular with consumers which means the number of breeding dogs in commercial breeding facilities have increased due to the fact that breeders must now keep large numbers of purebred parents of both breeds to produce the mixed breed puppies. Purebred Pugs as well as purebred Beagles to produce “Puggles,” etc. Shelters throughout the country offer millions of great “designer” breeds every year, why not adopt one of them? You could possibly be saving a life?
